She placed third in the first round with a 17.25 then came back Friday and stopped the clock in 17.21 seconds. Welsh, a two-time cancer survivor from Parker, Ariz., has a total time of 34.46 seconds. She is currently in second place in the overall standings with a total time of 34.53 seconds behind Jill Welsh who also competed here Friday. This gave her the second round win, an additional $1,882 and put’s her in contention for another championship.
